Pass the tissues, please

This last week hasn't been all that fun. Elliot and Lori had such high hopes for blissful happiness upon Rob's return. But all we've managed to do is bombard him with coughs and blowing noses and an infestation of germs. He keeps denying he's sick, but Lori's pretty sure he's coming down with it today.
So the weekend was more the stay-at-home type. Best to be close to the Kleenex.
As the only one feeling up to going out, Rob heroically offered to run out for groceries on Saturday afternoon. He came back laden with surprises. First, it was painting fun for the whole family. We created this masterpiece. Elliot contributed the big muddy blob in the middle. Just think, in another 30 years, if he practices really hard, he might be able to match his parents' breathtaking artistry skills exhibited in the rest of the picture.

After paint time, Rob set to work on a glorious dinner. Braised lamb chops with roasted potatoes and veggies. It was beautiful. He saved the biggest splash for last, presenting Lori with these stunning jewels from India.

It was all a terribly sweet and lovely evening. Rob always knows how to rescue a desperate situation.
