Christmas recap

This is where we spent Christmas day:

For reasons I won't get into, we had booked the last flight going into Wichita on Christmas Eve. A blizzard was predicted, but we were compelled to board our flight from Newark to Atlanta, where, unsurprisingly but still disappointingly, we learned that our flight into Wichita had been canceled and we couldn't get on another one until 9:30 Christmas night.

Still, we tried to say cheerfully, at least we're all together. We found a place that was serving Christmas dinner and hopped on a train into the great city of Atlanta.

It wasn't Grandma's home cooking, but it wasn't too shabby either.
Then we discovered that the Aquarium was open. Hooray!

It wasn't our ideal way to spend Christmas, but at least we weren't stuck at the airport for 24 hours.

Finally, close to midnight on Christmas night, we made it to Grams and Gramps's house. Hallelujah!

We had a really nice and relaxing week with them. Rob and I even got out to celebrate our anniversary with some friends and see a movie. Oh, the novelty! Thanks, Grams and Gramps, for babysitting!!

My brother and sister-in-law were also delayed by the snow, so we didn't have our big Christmas celebration until the following Tuesday. But it was great fun when it finally happened!

Opening pressies!

It was really wonderful to spend time with my family, have the cousins together, and actually relax for a while.

I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas too!!
