One day this week, we…
went to a library program for young Jedi knights.
It was very funny, and the kids loved it! At the end they handed out blow-up light sabers to all the kids. Chaos, fun, and the inevitable tears ensued.
From there, we went to our favorite organic farm for some veggies and eggs. On the way, the kids spotted their favorite candy shop.
Of course, they were waaay more excited about the candy than the veggies. So I relented and we stopped in on the way back.
They each chose a ring pop, and then we played by the river.
A little farther down the road was a patch of the Appalachian Trail, so we stopped for a walk.
This path is so fun. It’s a boardwalk built a few feet above the marshlands. One day I’d like to come back equipped with a picnic lunch and walk the whole thing. The whole boardwalk, that is – not the whole 2,000-mile Appalachian Trail!
After this, we hit the supermarket and headed home to make dinner.
And that is how we passed one summer day.
