Last weekend Nanny and Grampy Quicke flew out from Chicago to see us. We all had a fabulous time. Their visit coincided with the best weather we've had so far this year. We celebrated with the year's first barbecue on the deck!
It was actually warm enough that we spent all afternoon and evening chatting and reading outside. So beautiful!
Elliot loved playing cricket with Grampy and Daddy and reading and singing with Nanny. And we had a big day out in NYC.
It's been two days since we said farewell, and Elliot keeps waving and saying wistfully, "Bye bye, Nanny and Grampy." This morning he ran down the stairs saying "Nanny! Grampy!" and was so sad when he realized they weren't there.
Fortunately, he doesn't have to wait long for more grandparent love and attention. Grams and Gramps Claassen are flying out on Saturday. Can't wait to see you!
