August in bloom

Didn't I say way back in May that I was going to spend every day of the summer at the botanical gardens? What happened?? Gas prices are what happened. Elliot and I finally made it back on Sunday to give Rob some study time. I wasn't expecting much. I'm used to midwest summers where everything is brown and dry by mid-August. So imagine my surprise at seeing a wonderworld of color. Everything was in bloom and gorgeous.





I love this little cottage with its clocktower and gabled windows. Sadly, I don't think it's available.
