Rob was speaking at a conference in Louisville, so we decided to pack up the fam and head on down to make a mini-vacation out of it.
Elliot was enthralled with the huge Hard Rock guitar on this street by our hotel (and he managed to find a kid-sized one, too, to play with).

Other than Rob's speaking engagement, we mainly ate. And why not? They've got great food down there in them southern parts.

The weekend was extra fun, because several of Rob's PhD friends were there too. Elliot thought Tim was endlessly entertaining. We were sad to see everyone go, and Elliot kept saying, "Where's Tim? Where's Tim?"

We stayed in the city a bit longer to catch some more sites, including the Louisville Slugger Museum, where they make all the professional baseball bats. This is the biggest bat in the world. Impressive, eh?

We also had some great barbecue, and drove through some stunning scenery - it was basically 12 hours of valleys and mountains covered in auburn-colored trees. Absolutely gorgeous.

I miss Elliot, too. So, where's the picture of Ear X-stacy?
