We dedicated Elliot on Father's Day, so it was sweet that we were able to dedicate Sophie on Mother's Day.Our pastor said: "Believing that this child is a gift from God and that he shall hold you accountable for her, do you now solemnly confess that it is your purpose to dedicate this child to the Lord and to his service? Will you pray for her and with her, instruct her faithfully in the doctrines of the Christian faith; teach her to read the word of God; to pray and to live a holy life; to take her faithfully to the house of worship and to attend its services; and do all that is in your power to bring her to the knowledge of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord?"
And we said, "We will."
Thank God for our two precious miracles. And God give us wisdom and grace as we live out the daunting task of raising them!
