a visit from grams and gramps!

We were so excited for Grams and Gramps to come and see us! It's quite a trek for them to get here from Kansas, so we were especially grateful that they made the effort!

Because our house is so itty bitty, they had to stay at a B&B. In fact, they stayed at two, both absolutely beautiful. This was lots of fun for us, especially because we got to join them for their bountiful, 3-course breakfasts each morning!

The first one had a lovely bridge over a babbling brook...

...and, the highlight for Elliot, a candy shop! This actually may be the best candy shop in the world. Rob has declared their pretzel stick covered in caramel, chocolate, and M&Ms the best candy he has ever had.

The other B&B was also stunningly beautiful, complete with another picturesque bridge over another babbling brook...

and a very gorgeous waterfall. We were having a heat wave, and we seriously contemplated wading on over to have a nice cool shower under there. Ahhhhhhhh....

Other than the B&B hopping, we also had several great BBQs cooked up by the one-and-only Rob the Grillmaster.

Sophie took advantage of her baby status and kept cool in the way that only babies can get away with.

I'm getting carried away, but she was putting on the charm.

And I can't resist, just one more.

Grams and Gramps, don't you want to get back on that plane and fly right back over here? She needs some more cuddles!
