We spent a lot of time at Rob’s university over the past few days. On Friday his radio station hosted the second annual Bravathon. They had live, local bands performing for 15 hours straight – on TV as well as radio. Elliot was awestruck, watching all the cameras and performers.

We hung out in Rob’s office for a while through the day. It’s a well-appointed work space, as you can see. What self-respecting professional
doesn’t have a rocking horse and wizard’s hat in his office?

We headed back yesterday afternoon for a performance of Peter and the Rabbit. When we discovered the university was hosting this “musical,” of course we had to go. Beatrix Potter is awesome!

I think the kids enjoyed it. Elliot kept saying, “Where’s the TV?” We told him we were going to see a show. I guess so far in his little life, the only show he’s seen is on our TV. We really need to get the poor kid out more.

The Peter Rabbit character wasn’t quite what we expected. When he walked out a woman in the audience said very loudly, “Wow, he’s a big one!” He was a bit grumpy too. He came around in the end, though, when it turned out that Farmer MacGregor was a vegetarian, not interested in turning bunnies into rabbit stew, and all Peter needed to do was say “please” before eating all the veggies in the garden!
Oh my, wonder what Beatrix would think of that bit of revisionism!

What a cutie Elliot is. I'd love to know our children's expectations all the time. Glad WPU is treating you well. Rob's office is great for playing in.
Just eat the darn rabbit!! or at least shoot it.
