We have some party penguins here to help us count down to Christmas. 

They peek out from a new place every day – the motorbike, garbage bin, fridge, TV, even a shooting star. Groovy.

We also have a more traditional advent calendar.

It’s strange to realize the kids don’t know everything about the Christmas story. I’ve heard it so many times it seems self-evident. Elliot’s asking, “What’s a manger? What are shepherds?” It’s fun to think about it through his fresh eyes and ears.

The anticipation is certainly building around here. The kids are bouncing off the walls. Elliot is getting in trouble more than ever, despite knowing Santa is just days away from coming. “It’s so hard to be good!” he keeps lamenting.
